Barn Rental is $20 for 25 minutes. Barn Hunt prerequisites: dogs must be current BH competitors or have attended a workshop. There is a $5 charge to replace a straw bale. Class will begin at 5:45 pm on Thursdays, 4 to 5 dog max. A second class will begin at 7 pm if needed. Please text me each week to reserve a spot. Dogs must be started on equipment to attend. Class will be cancelled if daytime temperatures drop below 30 degrees. Cost is $15/dog. Building is generally about 10 to 15 degrees warmer than outdoor temps. Please dress accordingly.
Doggy Demo Day
Drop in and try out the sports. Teams are to rotate turns between disc, agility, and barnhunt. It's suppose to be windy so bring a few different discs to experiment with. The agility course will be beginner friendy so all levels are welcome! If you are new to dog sports simply comment in discussion area to be paired with a trainer! Cost is $15 for BKC student members, $20 for non-members.

Building Toy Drive Workshop
Building Toy Drive Workshop - February 23rd

Cost: $50 for working, includes 2 rope toys ($10 value), $25 for audit
2 groups of 5 to 6 dogs. 9a to 12p and 12:30p to 3:30p.
The focus will be how to encourage natural toy/prey drive, how to encourage food motivated dogs to engage with toys, guidelines on how to play and when to play, increasing engagement with the handler, impulse control with toys, and finally, how to integrate toy rewards in dog sports! We will cover foundation exercises suitable for dogs of all ages and skill levels!

Introduction to Dog Sports
Begins Feb 26th- In this 5 week class, experience a different dog sport each week- the sports that are available at Billings K9 Coaching. If you’ve wanted to try some new things with your dog, this is the class for you!

Cost: $109 for 5 weeks
Times: Wednesday, 5:45-6:45 and 7:00-8:00pm. (Limited to 5 dogs per class)
Week 1- intro to clicker training, shaping and tricks
Week 2-intro to agility
Week 3- intro to dock diving (groundwork only)
Week 4- intro to disk

In intro agility class you will learn the foundations of working as a team with your dog on the flat. This class is all about creating a communication system between handler and dog using both your body and verbal cues. We will use cones, hoops, gates, and tunnels.

RMDS BH Workshop
Instructor: Pamela Horner
Cost: free for RMDS member
9 to 12:30- Intro/Beginner. We will work on reading and building dog's indication. Be prepared to video your runs and watch between your turns.
1:30 to 5pm- Advanced training. The course will include a distance challenge. We will work on identifying an "all clear" signal and challenging hides. One round we will specifically work a 1 rat hide.

NADD Event- BKC Summer Kickoff
* A NADD Registration Number is required to enter
* Splashes include up to four minutes on the dock for one optional practice jump and two judged jumps.
* This event is an Open Splash event. This is done at Portable Dock trials and other shows that have timing conflicts with other dog events. When you check in you will be handed “Splash Cards” for each splash that you pay for. When you are ready to jump during the day, hand a splash card to the wrangler to get put into the running order. It is the handler's responsibility to be sure to be present it before their turn to jump. Please be aware that at many events, the running order board fills very quickly and early in the day.
*You can earn a Diving Dog Titles at this event. You must have five Qualifying Scores within a Division. NADD titles are recognized by the AKC and CKC through their recognition programs
